BioCentury Grand Rounds Europe visits Leiden Bio Science Park

On 24 September, Leiden Bio Science Park welcomed participants of BioCentury Grand Rounds Europe for an ecosystem tour in Leiden.

The international delegation included biotech founders, investors, biopharma executives and other life sciences leaders taking part in the 2026 edition of BioCentury Grand Rounds Europe, held in Amsterdam from 23 to 25 September.

The Leiden programme offered an introduction to the region’s life sciences ecosystem, with a visit to the Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR), an introduction to Leiden Bio Science Park and presentations from local companies XS Innovations, BIMINI Biotech and Vico Therapeutics.

The programme showcased the breadth of the Leiden ecosystem, from academic research and drug development to biotech entrepreneurship. It also gave international delegates an opportunity to connect with companies and organisations working across different stages of the life sciences and drug development value chain.

For Leiden Bio Science Park, hosting the ecosystem tour was an opportunity to showcase the strength of the region to an international audience and highlight the connections between research, entrepreneurship, investment and industry that underpin Leiden’s life sciences community.
