Corpus: the perfect location

Proefdiervrij Event is aimed at scientists and companies working on animal-free, human-centered research models. That is exactly why Corpus, being an interactive museum entirely focused on the human body, is such a fitting location. Organoids, organs-on-a-chip, and computer models not only benefit animal welfare, they also represent a significant gain for human health, because models based on human cells and data have a better predictive value for humans. Holding this event at a location that is so close to the human body will remind everybody attending what animal-free models will bring us: more knowledge about the human body and better health.

We want to make laboratory animals obsolete. We build towards this ideal by combining the strengths of partners from science, politics, business, and society. Proefdiervrij funds the development of innovative scientific research without the use of laboratory animals. These studies are not only better for animals but also for humans, as they are often based on human cells and tissues.
