Seven days of science, discovery, and connection.
This was Dutch Bio Science Week 2025. From inspiring lab tours and live experiments to founder talks and student challenges, Dutch Bio Science Week emphasized the excitement surrounding the ecosystem. Over the course of seven days, the Leiden Bio Science Park opened its doors to professionals, students, policymakers, and the curious public. In total, 21 events attracted more than 5,000 visitors. Together, we explored how biosciences are transforming health, sustainability, and innovation.
Dutch Bio Science Week exists to bring the world of life sciences closer to everyone. Through open doors, interactive sessions, and unexpected encounters, the week shows how science, innovation, and collaboration come together to improve health and wellbeing. It’s about inspiring the next generation, connecting sectors, and celebrating the impact of biosciences on our daily lives.
Companies like HALIX, Batavia Biosciences, and the LUMC welcomed visitors for a rare glimpse inside their laboratories. From cell therapies to vaccine production, visitors got to see science in action!
From first-time job seekers to experienced researchers and entrepreneurs, the events were designed to help people grow their network and explore new career and funding opportunities.
Keynote speakers from across the Life Sciences & Health ecosystem shared their insights on cutting-edge topics like AI in biotech, future-proof manufacturing, and the role of public-private partnerships in innovation. Workshops helped bridge the gap between science and business, with plenty of room for questions and exchange.
Dutch Bio Science Week is where science steps outside the lab, and the entire ecosystem comes together. Thanks to all who visited, hosted, and made this week unforgettable.
