Campus in Bloei: New Book Captures a Decade of Transformation

A decade of change at Leiden Bio Science Park has been captured in a newly released publication: Campus in Bloom – Stories of Growth, Connection and Innovation. This visually rich book documents the park’s evolution from a fragmented collection of buildings into a cohesive, accessible environment where research, education, business and community intersect.

The book highlights key milestones that have reshaped the campus, such as the introduction of the Hartlijn cycle route, the revitalisation of green spaces, and the creation of new public areas designed for connection and collaboration. Through interviews, photos and design sketches, it also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the partnerships that drove these changes, from the university and municipality to companies and cultural organisations.

Campus in Bloom is not just a record of physical development. It also celebrates the people and values that make the park thrive. Whether you are a scientist, a student, a resident or a visitor, the book is an invitation to reflect on the shared ambition that fuels innovation in Leiden.
