Lecture: Cultivated meat, artificial meat & meat art

On 18 September, Studium Generale Leiden University organizes a Dutch-language lecture at Café Caat during Days of Art & Science.

Daan Luining, co-founder and CIO of Meatable, will discuss how cultivated meat is developed, from a small animal cell sample to a product with the taste and texture of conventional meat, but without animal suffering or the environmental burden of traditional livestock farming.

Artist and bio-art researcher Lotte Pet will share how her work explores the boundaries between body, technology, and imagination, raising questions about how we view new biological forms created from cells, tissues, and organs.
