As Research Associate in the Oncology (Operations) team, you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality stocks for Crown Bioscience the Netherlands (CBNL)’s Organoid Biobank to be used in commercial and internal research projects. In addition, you’ll keep the condition of the laboratories at a high standard on a day-to-day basis and provide invaluable support to projects leaders during the execution of projects within the Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Cell line expansion
  • 3D cell cultures (cell lines and organoids)
  • Compound dilutions
  • High content imaging
  • Handling of liquid automation
  • Assisting project leaders during execution of experiments for commercial and internal projects
  • Carry out tasks and quality control accurately by following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Keep track of lab stocks, prepare and store samples and reagents
  • Help to keep equipment and labs in a clean and workable condition
  • Contribute to other routine laboratory tasks that may be required
  • Collaborate with the other scientific and technical teams

Profile

  • BSc or MSc degree in Biomedical or similar
  • 1-3 years of working experience is an advantage
  • Previous experience with 3D cultures is a plus
  • Experience with organoid culture is an advantage
  • Experience with understanding and following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Quick learner
  • Working accurate, precise, and clean
  • Good record-keeping skills
  • Able to work in teams and independently
  • Careful and meticulous with a strong work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands
