In today's healthcare landscape, data is increasingly recognized as a valuable asset for improving health outcomes. However, effective data utilization hinges on secure reuse of data and analysis across organizations. Data reuse is a catalyst for innovation within and across sectors, leading to the development of new solutions. It transforms data into a strategic asset for companies, emphasizing the importance of maintaining control over it.#LI-HybridAs a Technical Architect in Health Data Spaces, your work will contribute significantly to the development of the 'health data spaces'. In this role, you will delve into this subject alongside TNO colleagues, businesses, and other organizations, navigating the opportunities it presents while addressing the questions it raises: Who controls the data? What analyses are permitted using the available data? What analyses are possible in a certain architecture? And how can data be reused without compromising the privacy of citizens?This role places you at the leading edge of both technological and societal advancements, focusing on the secure and ethical (re)use of personal health data (both medical and self-collected). The nature of this work is fundamentally multidisciplinary, encouraging collaboration with a range of partners and consortia. This approach enables us to tackle issues from diverse perspectives.As a Technical Architect in Health Data Spaces, you'll explore current technologies and contribute to the resolution of various societal challenges. Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing software solutions for data management, extraction, and analysis within the health data spaces.
  • Developing solutions that ensure data privacy and security while enabling secure data reuse among stakeholders.
  • Utilizing AI, machine learning, and big data to derive valuable insights from health data.
  • Collaborating with industry partners, government agencies, and research institutions to establish technical standards and governance frameworks.

Profile

As a Technical Architect in Health Data Spaces you feel at home in multidisciplinary collaborations and teams with experts from different disciplines. You are interested in both the technical aspects and the implementation of innovations. You are proactive and curious about the latest scientific developments and how they can be applied to future solutions. You can communicate your research to a diverse audience. You easily connect with (potential) collaboration partners and enjoy developing ideas into project proposals together with others.You have:

  • A strong background in software engineering and data architecture.
  • Affinity with scientific research and an interest in personal health.
  • Experience with data management and extraction tools, data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with API development and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Professional command of Dutch and English language.
  • The ability to work independently on multiple projects at the same time and manage your own workload effectively.
