Scientific Sales Support Specialist at Cell Signaling Technology Europe

Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is a private, family-owned company, founded by scientists and dedicated to providing the world’s highest quality, innovative research and diagnostic products to accelerate biological understanding and enable personalized medicine.


Responsible for driving revenue and excellent customer service. Works cooperatively with our direct sales teams and distributors to deliver exceptional sales and customer support with the goal to grow revenue at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction to our end users.


  • To conduct outbound calls with new and existing customers to maintain relationship and revenue, increase awareness of our product offering, and close additional sales by cross and upselling
  • To cooperate closely with the direct sales teams to identify and qualify leads, prospects, and incoming inquires that fit our strategic objectives and convert them into business
  • To handle incoming customer and distributor requests by phone and e-mail, including follow up internally and externally
  • To enter sales orders received via different sources (e-mail, web, XML, fax)
  • To handle quote requests and bulk + custom pricing requests  
  • To pro-actively communicate towards our distributors and end users regarding customer service related matters
  • To handle of Customer service related tasks, which includes:
    • Back order management
    • Outgoing shipments monitoring
    • Complaints handling, including registration in CRM system
  • To create and maintain customer records within our CRM systems to track customer contacts, preferences and other key data
  • To embrace industry practices and utilize appropriate business tools to drive results 
  • Works effectively in an intradepartmental environment to ensure transparency of information and cooperation among departments


  • BA in Cell Biology, Immunology or similar
  • Good understanding of relevant applications, workflows and products
  • Ideally past sales experience in Life Science market
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of English both in word and writing
  • Good understanding of MS Office, knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle) is a plus
