Developmental Biology Scientist / Toxicologist at Toxys
Toxys is a Dutch biotech company that develops innovative in vitro solutions for safety testing of novel pharmaceutical compounds, chemicals, cosmetics and food ingredients. Toxys exclusively offers ToxTracker and ReproTracker, both unique stem cell-based reporter assay for early identification of genetic or developmental toxicity. Our assays are able to identify the hazardous properties of compounds with a high accuracy and in addition provide insight into the underlying mechanisms of toxicity. Our unique ReproTracker assay combines the expertise at Toxys on stem cells, genome editing and mechanistic toxicity screening and is aimed at rapidly identifying compounds that disturb stem cell differentiation and early embryonic development.
How you would fit in
We are looking for a Senior Scientist with expertise in developmental toxicology or developmental biology to lead the development of ReproTracker and additional in vitro chemical safety tests primarily in developmental toxicity. You will be responsible for the design, coordination and supervision of the R&D projects. You follow the latest developments in the area of developmental and reproductive toxicology, and are able to gain the confidence of stakeholders to obtain a good understanding of the requirements and applications of new assays in this field. You are able to make the translation from customer demand to product development and know how to position products in a (screening) strategy.
