We are looking for a candidate for the position of:

Account Manager - Bioscience (1 FTE)


Within the fast growing and energetic team, the Account Manager will work as part of a highly motivated team of account managers, business developers and scientists and will be in constant contact with customers and external partners.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of account management experience in biotechnology, genomics or the biosciences industry. The account manager will be responsible for the management and growth of current accounts and building strong and sustainable relationships with customers most of whom with scientific background. Additionally upselling and cross-selling BaseClear products and services is inherent responsibility to this position. The role will require both national and international travel to meet customers and attend relevant conferences and business events.


You are responsible for the performance and growth of current accounts. You are proactive, result oriented and enthusiastic. You have experience with consultative sales and can work effectively and  professionally with scientists and researchers with the ability to navigate priorities in a opportunities rich environment. You have excellence communication skills and a good knowledge of microbiology and genomics technologies.

Specifically we are searching for a candidate with the following experience and characteristics

  • Educated to Masters degree level in a bioscience, biotechnology or microbiology or related discipline with good knowledge of genomics & DNA sequencing technologies.
  • A proven track record (min 2 years) in account management.
  • Ability to gain access and influence key contacts and DMUs.
  • Ability to work at a professional level with scientists and researchers.
  • The ability and ambition to achieve growth driven yearly budgets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of energy and ambition.
  • Ability to work with and update CRM systems.
  • A network in the food ingredients, pharma and biotech market.
  • The ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
  • Can-do-mentality, focused, flexible and willingness to travel.
