7Tesla facility
The 7Tesla Facility houses high-field MRI technology to support cutting-edge neuroimaging and biomedical research, enabling unprecedented spatial and functional resolution for in vivo human studies. It serves both fundamental science and translational applications, enhancing studies of human physiology and pathology.
Electron Microscopy
The Electron Microscopy Facility offers nanometer scale imaging of biological ultrastructures, enabling studies of proteins, small particles, cells, and tissues. It includes expert support in sample preparation, electron microscopy imaging , and data interpretation and visualization.

Light Microscopy
The Light Microscopy facility provides advanced optical imaging systems and analytical support for cellular and molecular research. It provides training and assistance with imaging and quantitative analysis for live cell and fixed specimen studies.
Preclinical Imaging Facility
The pre-clinical imaging facility provides access to advanced in vivo imaging modalities for small animals, including MRI, CT, SPECT, (functional) ultrasound, photoacoustics, fluorescence and bioluminescence, with full support for study design, imaging protocols and data analysis. It enables translational studies linking molecular, anatomical and functional measurements in preclinical models. Together with the Central Animal Facility we are fully equipped to also support the logistics of animal studies. The Leiden Pre-clinical Imaging Facility is part of the national facility AMICE.
