Join us for the Inspiration Evening on Thursday, May 8
Do you have a project you’d like to finish? Or are you looking for new ideas and want to get more hands-on time in the workshop? Then come to our Inspiration Evening at the LiS on Thursday, May 8. Students, alumni, LiS staff, and invited guests are all warmly welcome between 17:00 and 20:30. We’ll kick off the evening with drinks and snacks in the student cafeteria from 17:00 to 17:45.
Workshop Access
During the Inspiration Evening, you’ll have the chance to work in the UTOPA and glass workshop. All machines will be available for use on your own (school) projects. If you need materials, tools, or assistance, please indicate this on the registration form at the bottom of the page.
Note: Workshop rules must be followed at all times, and safety is a top priority. Capacity is limited, so first come, first served.
Program
This Inspiration Evening will include: working in the OW workshop or UTOPA workshop, the glass workshop, or attend a guest lecture by Mark Courage from 18:00–19:00 on the topic “Beethoven meets AI”. Or join the lecture by Albert van Dorssen from 19:30–20:30 on “The Einstein Telescope”. You can also join a session of Dungeons & Dragons, organized by one of our students. Interested? Want to join? Great! Please make sure to register in advance.
Just a Fun Evening
Of course, you’re also welcome to just stop by, look around, and catch up with students and colleagues. Everyone is welcome!
Note: Everyone attending is kindly asked to register via the form, including guests (speakers, workshop hosts, alumni, students, and LiS staff). If you decide to come last-minute, you’re still very welcome! However, you might not be able to register for food or some of the workshops, as space may already be full. Want to join us for food? We’d love that! Just make sure to sign up before May 6 using the form.
