LBSP Sport – USC Leiden Football Competition

Leiden Bio Science Park is more than just a workplace—it’s a community where people connect, even in their free time. Our football competition is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, stay active, and enjoy some friendly competition. The popular 7-a-side football format is perfect for everyone, whether you’re an experienced player or just looking to have fun. It’s all about enjoying the game and connecting with colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Plus, participating helps you stay fit, reduce stress, and build teamwork.

Football Competition Details
Format: 7 vs. 7
Teams: Minimum 4, Maximum 8 players
Location: University Sports Center – Hockey Fields
Summer Competition: May 8 – June 26 (7 matches), concluding with a celebratory gathering on June 26
Time: Thursdays, 17:00 – 18:00 (weekly or biweekly)
Rules: No (metal) cleats, no sliding tackles, and no referees—just fair play and fun!

This competition is open to everyone, regardless of skill level. It’s a great chance to meet new colleagues, build teamwork, and enjoy the game. Sign up before April 25, 2025! The match schedule will be announced on February 27.

Cost: Free
No cleats and no sliding tackles for your safety and to preserve the quality of the hockey fields.
No referees: Matches will be self-regulated, but the first sessions will have guidance to ensure a smooth start.
