Leiden Bio Science Park OR Community Kick off event: Employee misconduct

The initiative to create a community of OR (Works Council representatives) from the companies residing at Leiden Bio Science Park will be kicked off in May at TeekensKarstens (Vondellaan 51, Leiden).

This community will facilitate the organization of thematic events, create networking opportunities and knowledge exchange, and share relevant updates and trends regarding employee participation. Collecting and sharing this information will allow Works Council members to employ best practices regarding cooperation between employees and businesses. Eventually, strategic and social policies are shaped to benefit both the employee participation body and the employer. In that case, it will facilitate the growth and health of the ecosystem at LBSP.

Annemarth Hiebendaal, an attorney specializing in employment law from TeekensKarstens, will be giving a workshop on Transgressive behaviour in the workplace. During this workshop, she will explore the legal framework that governs employee behaviour, including the rights and obligations of employers and employees. Additionally, she will discuss the role of Works Council members in (avoiding) transgressive behaviour. This event is specifically open to OR Works council members. Ideally, no more than two members from the same organization join.
