Praat Nederlands Day

Praat Nederlands Day is for everyone who is ready to pick up the challenge. We invite all residents of the Leiden region to join us: whether you were born here or somewhere else in the world, whether you have been living in the region for years or just a month. Can you speak Dutch for the whole day? Or how many Dutch language learners can you support in a single day? Invite your international and Dutch friends, colleagues, and family to join the challenge and check out the programme!

Praat Nederlands Day 9th October 2025

Praat Nederlands Day is a new initiative by Leiden International Centre, in collaboration with Gemeente Leiden, to promote the learning of Dutch language among international residents of the Leiden region. We appreciate your cooperation in promoting this event.

Who is Praat Nederlands Day for?

Praat Nederlands Day targets internationals of all backgrounds (highly-skilled professionals, labour migrants, families, or students), as well as their employers, local Dutch residents, and across the whole Leiden region.
