With construction in full swing, the new University Sports Centre (USC) is set to open its doors on December 1, 2025. The first visitors will be welcomed in February 2026, marking a fresh new chapter in the centre’s 55-year history.
Since its opening in 1970, the USC has been a cornerstone of the university community, offering a space for exercise, socializing, and relaxation. Over the past five decades, it has inspired thousands of students and staff to stay active and form lasting connections. As the centre celebrates its 55th anniversary, it’s not just a time to reflect on its history, but also to look ahead to an exciting future. The new facility is designed to enhance the well-being and vitality of the entire university community.
In addition to the USC’s renovation, a brand-new sports venue is also opening in The Hague. The Spui building will soon house a modern, state-of-the-art sports facility for both students and staff.
