Incubator unlock_ opens its doors in Leiden

The Leiden Bio Science Park has a long history as a breeding ground for companies in Biotech, pharmaceuticals and Medtech. The addition of unlock_ brings an incubation programme that focuses all its attention towards the growing and developing of start- and scale-ups. At unlock_ entrepreneurs with disruptive ideas for the health of mankind and animals get the chance to transform these ideas into companies and products. The whole ecosystem in Leiden is committed to this next generation of businesses. The first two unlock_ programmes will start in the coming months.

unlock_Venture Academy – powered by PLNT

Everything a starting company needs to hit the ground running is part of the Venture Academy. Entrepreneurs validate their ideas, get coached by specialists and build their network in this 3 month programme. After this programme, the young companies are ready for their first funding of for example 30k. For Life Science & Health entrepreneurs there are specific unlock_ tracks, coaches and mentors. The Venture Academy starts on the 19th of March.


unlock_incubation

unlock_incubation is an intense programme in which start-ups take the next step toward bringing their ideas to market. The programme kicks off with a month in which a selection of companies defines their specific goals for the period afterwards. unlock_ helps these entrepreneurs develop their technology, provides insights in the regulatory & legal affairs within the LSH sector and supports the market readiness of the products. After the first month, the participants will receive an additional 11 months of support by experts and coaches and can take masterclasses that are specifically built for their business. unlock_incubation will start in early May, but companies can apply in the coming months!
