Startup booster introduction

Welcome to the Startup Booster project! We are thrilled to have partnered with nine outstanding companies, including Idris Oncology, VitroScan, Imuno Therapeutics, Exit071, Doser, MyMicroZoo, Immunowars, Rapidemic and Landscape.

Each of these companies is dedicated to developing unique and innovative solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare today. Over the next 20 weeks, we will share regular updates on these companies. They are working hard to bring their innovative ideas to the market, and we are here to highlight their positive impact on the life-sciences industry. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments!

Hans Peter Mulder (from Idris Oncology) is developing a fishing wire to detect extremely rare biomarkers in the blood. This will improve current cancer diagnostic methods and make new ones possible.

Willemijn Vader (from VitroScan) offers predictive diagnostic testing for cancer patients to aid in treatment decisions by testing samples outside the body to determine treatment effectiveness beforehand, resulting in more efficient and effective treatment plans and better patient outcomes.

Jan-Jaap Verhoef (from Imuno Therapeutics) uses advanced machine learning and modelling to identify cancer-specific epitopes. The aim is to create precise immunotherapy treatments with minimal side effects, revolutionizing cancer treatment.

Yuliya Shakalisava (from EXIT071) uses exosome analysis technology to improve diagnostic testing and personalize patient treatment plans. This innovative approach leads to earlier disease detection and better patient outcomes.

Arjan van Unen & Niels Ouwerkerk (from Doser) strive to enhance patients' quality of life by developing personalized 3D compounding technology, resulting in better therapeutic outcomes with fewer side effects. As a result, patients receive customized therapies unique to their clinical profile.

Fleur van Eeden (from MyMicroZoo) is developing the future of gut microbiome testing to help people improve their health and well-being by unlocking the potential of the gut microbiome.

Dennis de Beeld & Rafael Jezior’s (from ImmunoWars) board game educates about diseases, science and health in an entertaining, digestive and engaging way. The game includes strategy, competition, and storytelling, appealing to all scientists and non-scientists.

Violette Defourt (from Rapidemic) is creating easy-to-use molecular point-of-care tests that can quickly diagnose infectious diseases, thereby stopping the spread of disease, allowing for early treatment, and improving patient results.

Erwin Haas (from Landscape AI) focuses on creating data and AI solutions for companies that are understandable and centered around human needs. The goal is to develop transparent and user-focused solutions to tackle the underlying issues.
