About BioPartner
Starting a company in the life sciences is not easy. You need money, the right people, good equipment and access to a network. Many young companies reach a point where they want to grow, but do not yet have the resources to do so. That is exactly where BioPartner plays a role.
As a non-profit foundation at Leiden Bio Science Park, BioPartner helps startups and scale-ups take those first and second steps. BioPartner offers affordable workspaces, good facilities, guidance, advice, a network and practical services. This allows companies to focus on what they do best: the research.
Rijksmuseum Boerhaave
Can you imagine that we once had no idea about the microscopic world around us? Antoni van Leeuwenhoek was the first to see these ‘little animalcules’ in 1674, but had no idea what it meant. Come and see what you can discover with a replica of his unique microscope!
With our digital microscopes you can count insect hairs, watch live how sweat is produced and evaporates on your skin, and inspect porcupine quills.
Don’t forget to bring some interesting things from home to examine!
This is an ongoing activity, no registration required
All ages are welcome!
