Welcome to the open day of Leiden Bio Science Park!
Once a year, the laboratories and buildings of Leiden Bio Science Park open their doors to everyone. On 4 July 2026, between 10:00 and 15:00, you’re welcome to come and see what life sciences research actually looks like – not through a screen, but up close, with the people who do the work every day.
The programme includes guided lab tours, hands-on workshops, and talks by researchers from across the park. Whether you’re a student figuring out your next step, a family with curious kids, or someone who’s simply never set foot inside a research facility, there’s something worth your afternoon.
Entry is free, open for all.
What to expect at the open day?

Meet the researchers, see the equipment up close, and find out what life sciences looks like from the inside. On 4 July, the labs of Leiden Bio Science Park are open to everyone: from the curious ten-year-old to the professional who’s always wondered what happens behind those doors.

Getting to Leiden Bio Science Park
On Open Day, the park will be busy, which makes bike or public transport the easiest choice. Once you’re at Leiden Centraal, shuttle buses run throughout the day to help you get around the park and make the most of your visit.
If you do need to come by car, the map below shows the available parking facilities nearby.
