A new place for coffee, breakfast, lunch and drinks is coming to Leiden Bio Science Park. On 1
September, Vascobelo V-Bar Leiden Bio Science Park will officially open its doors at Einsteinweg
4D, in the new MORE development area.
Located opposite Leiden University’s new University Sports Centre, the V-Bar will welcome
employees, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, residents and visitors from across the park.
From morning coffee to lunch and drinks
Vascobelo combines the atmosphere of a coffee bar with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu.
Guests can stop by for a Vascobelo coffee or matcha to go, take a seat for breakfast or lunch, or
use the space for an informal business meeting.
Later in the day, the V-Bar also offers a relaxed setting for drinks with colleagues or business
relations. The location will offer opportunities for group lunches, meetings and drinks, giving
companies and organisations at the park a new place to get together with colleagues, guests and
business relations.
A new entrepreneur at the park
The new location is run by 29-year-old entrepreneur Wietse van der Meij. After building his career
in hospitality, from the kitchen to management, he is taking the next step by opening his own
business as a Vascobelo franchisee.

of people work and study here every day, and the area is developing rapidly. I want
Vascobelo to become a place you naturally visit during your day: for a good coffee in the
morning, lunch with colleagues, a business appointment or drinks after work.”
Part of the development of MORE
Vascobelo is the first hospitality location to open in the new MORE development area. The area is
transforming this part of Leiden Bio Science Park with new places to work, live, exercise and spend
time.
With its location at the heart of this development, Vascobelo aims to become a welcoming and
accessible addition to everyday life at the park.
Official opening on 1 September
Vascobelo V-Bar Leiden Bio Science Park will celebrate its official opening on Tuesday, 1
September. Members of the Leiden Bio Science Park community are warmly invited to come and
discover the new location.
The doors open at 10:30, followed by the official opening ceremony at 11:00. Afterwards, there will
be time to enjoy a coffee, explore the V-Bar and meet other people from across the park.
