Job description

The Leiden team with about 35 people and 13 nationalities has developed a protein engineering pipeline to generated improved enzymes. Recently, we also started enzymatic engineering of polymers as barrier coating for food applications. The team is specialized in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Material Sciences, Fermentation, Bio-informatics and Automation. Typically a project focusses on biochemical characterization of multiple enzyme samples (purification, enzyme kinetics, product analysis), enzyme secretion by improving expression pathways via our molecular biology toolboxes, data analysis and modelling using state of the art bio-informatics or automation work flow improvement in the robotic lab.

On a regular basis we are looking for interns in above mentioned fields.
