BioPartner Lunch & Learn: The Biotech Scaleup Reality Check

Every month, BioPartner hosts a Lunch & Learn session: We provide lunch and an expert speaker, and you’ll learn about a topic of your interest!

Up in February: The Biotech Scaleup Reality Check

What to expect of this lunch & learn session?

Many biotech startups don’t struggle because of their science, but because the company doesn’t scale along with the progress.

In this session, we’ll talk about the practical challenges founders run into when moving from early-stage biotech to a growing organization. Not theory, but patterns that show up again and again in real companies.

We’ll focus on two topics:

  • What typically can go wrong (and right!) when biotechs start to grow (structure, focus, decision-making)
  • Hiring for the next phase — and how early hiring choices can slow you down later

The session is interactive and leaves plenty of room for questions and discussion.

This is not an HR talk, but a founder- and mangement-level conversation about building a biotech that can actually grow.

Let’s introduce the speakers:

Jorden Evegaars works as an operating partner and advisor to biotech and life-sciences scale-ups in Europe (including within BioPartner) and the US.

He supports founders and leadership teams in building organizations that can grow alongside the science — often around key moments like team growth, role clarity, and preparing for the next funding phase.

Registration is free!
