About these lectures:

Dr. Julian W. März, M.D., Ph.D., LL.M., J.D., is a physician, lawyer, and bioethicist, and is currently working as a research fellow at the University of Zurich. His main research interests lie in the areas of pharmaceutical & biotech patent law, regulatory affairs & research ethics, and pharmaceutical pricing, with a particular focus on innovative medicines for rare diseases and AI-enabled innovation. Prior to joining the University of Zurich, he worked for the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, the Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences of the University of Cambridge, and the IEP de Paris. In addition, he is currently leading a curriculum development project of the World Health Organization (WHO) on the ethics of AI in rare disease and cancer diagnosis and treatment, and is acting as lead scientific advisor for the review and reform process of the Federal Law on the Genetic Testing of Humans by the Swiss federal government.
