On Saturday, June 27, Leiden City Hall and Stadhuisplein will transform into a lively festival filled with activities, health screenings, workshops, and unexpected encounters for people of all ages.
What can you expect?
During the day, Professor of Neuropsychology Erik Scherder will be on hand to deliver an inspiring TED Talk on the brain, exercise, and health. With his infectious enthusiasm, he will engage visitors in an accessible way, explaining how important exercise is for both the body and the brain.
At the festival, you’ll find interactive booths run by researchers, healthcare professionals, students, and organizations from Leiden that demonstrate how science and health intersect in everyday life.
Immerse yourself in an ice bath, find out if you’re an early bird or a night owl, and have your blood pressure checked. Join a conversation about mental health, try boxing to preserve brain cells, and learn more about screen time for children.
In short: come experience, test, and participate for yourself. There’s always something happening both inside and outside City Hall.
