When Louise Brown was born in 1978 as the first IVF baby, the world was turned upside down. Creating a child in a test tube was unheard of. Now, almost 50 years later, IVF is a normal part of society.
In the meantime, this field has not stood still. For example, Japanese researchers recently created a mouse pup from two male mice. Unheard of, or will this also be quite normal in a hundred years? Researcher Celine Roelse from the Department of Anatomy will explain.
