Last week at the Future of Health Congress, a simple but powerful truth was fully displayed: breakthroughs don’t happen in isolation. They are sparked by conversations in hallways, unexpected encounters, and open collaboration that turns ideas into impact.

At Leiden Bio Science Park, we see this every day. With more than 400 companies, world-class research institutions, and a deeply connected community, the foundation for progress isn’t just in the labs and offices. It’s in the people who meet, exchange ideas, and build something greater together.
At the congress, this idea became tangible. Leaders from across biotech, pharma, health tech, and AI weren’t just presenting research but forging partnerships. The most critical moments weren’t on stage but in the spaces in between—where a conversation over coffee might lead to the next big breakthrough. That’s the essence of orgware: not just the physical infrastructure of science, but the human network that makes innovation possible.
Seeing so many industry leaders sign their names to a shared commitment to the future of health was more than symbolic. It was a reminder that we create progress together—not through competition, but through connection. The future of health isn’t waiting to be discovered in a lab. It’s being built every day in the moments when the right people meet, challenge each other, and decide to push forward—together.
