About the LUMC

LUMC (Leiden University Medical Center) is the academic hospital of Leiden, directly affiliated with Leiden University.

What makes it special is that it combines three things at once. Patients receive top-level care for complex and rare conditions. Researchers carry out groundbreaking medical research, ranging from cancer to genetics. And medical students are trained there to become the specialists of tomorrow.

In short, LUMC is the place where science and healthcare meet, day after day.

Anatomical Museum

The LUMC’s education building houses 800 anatomical specimens and models, some in that are used since the 17th century.

That same collection continues to support medical and biomedical education today. Want to come and take a look? Sign up now!
