Connecting students and companies
The Bètabanenmarkt (Dutch for Science Career Event) has facilitated easy interaction between employers and science students in Leiden for over 40 years. We organize one major event every year and some smaller focused events like the Bio Science Park Excursion. Besides the events, we advocate for the career orientation of science students in Leiden.
We are inclusive to all science students in Leiden, from HBO to PhD and Biology to Astronomy. For this, we are affiliated with Leiden University (the Science faculty and the Medicine faculty) and Hogeschool Leiden (the University of applied sciences).
The Stiching Bètabanenmarkt is a foundation operated by students for students. Most of the current students are not planning their future careers. Many students get in touch with their prospective employers at a late stage. As Bètabanenmarkt, we improve this connection by connecting (top) students with inspiring and relevant employers.
